DON’T try this at home. Several times a day, for several days, you induce pain in someone. You control the pain with morphine until the final day of the experiment, when you replace the morphine with saline solution. Guess what?”
I guess that we have a lot to learn, and perhaps a little less arrogant of our “discoveries”. Are there any others we could add to this list?

Young Australians attracted to ’spiritual aerobics’ – Yahoo!7 News: “A survey shows that new and emerging churches are popular with young Australians and that ‘nature religions’ and Scientology are growing strongly.”
It is interesting and sad that the religions that are growing are those that say that we are “gods” and that the devil is a figment of our imagination. We have to be alert because “almost” truth is a full lie! We have have to watch out that we don’t mix Eastern religions with our Christianity this includes all kinds of transcendental meditation and the like. We don’t look inside us for answers, we look to heaven, to our creator and redeemer, Jesus Christ.

Three charged over girls’ beheadings in Indonesia: “Three men have been charged under Indonesia’s terrorism laws for involvement in the gruesome beheadings of three young Christian girls in the religiously-divided district of Poso.”
This is horrible, and it proves how blessed we are to live in a country where we can still worship freely and without persecution.
Let’s focus our small group prayers on those who are being persecuted for following Jesus Christ.
